How to arrive
There are many different ways to arrive to the Peninsula. Whether it is by land or air, we can arrange from my wide variety of methods to help you get here.
If you decide to fly, there are several scheduled flights throughout the day with a couple of domestic airlines and also you could decide to get a charter flight at whatever time you wish.
If you decide to come by land, you can choose between riding the bus, hiring a private shuttle, or Rent-A-Car and drive yourself.

How to arrive to Puerto Jimenez
By shuttle
There is a shuttle company that runs between San Jose and Puerto Jimenez a few times a week. They normally publish their schedules biweekly, and they usually run just one direction per day. By private taxi
Osa Tropical works with several different chauffeurs that own their own car/vehicle and they offer safe and reliable transportation from and to any point within the country. The rates for their services vary depending on the length of the drive, and on the amount of people using the transport. You can get in touch with us in order to inquire about the different routes and the cost for the services. For example, a private transport between San José and Puerto Jimenez for up to four people can cost around $450.
By plane
There are a couple of domestic airlines that offer scheduled flights within Costa Rica. By bus
If you choose to travel by bus, please be aware that there is typically only one trip per day in each direction. The San José to Puerto Jiménez route departs at midday from "Terminal Mepe," which you can locate on maps under this name. The Puerto Jiménez to San Jose route departs at 5:00 am from the local bus terminal.
This route can be helpful if you want to travel from Uvita to Puerto Jiménez. To catch the bus from Uvita, you should be at the main road, and it usually arrives around 3:00 pm or 4:00 pm, so please be attentive when it passes by. You can also call the company to inform the bus driver that you will be waiting in Uvita to avoid being left behind.
The cost of tickets is approximately $20 USD, and the journey takes about 8 hours to reach your destination in each direction, with a couple of stops for food and restroom breaks.
