Dominical is a popular destination when visitors are on their way to the Osa, or on their way back to San Jose. Especially when you’re driving with a rental car, you can easily plan a stop here. It’s basically half way from San Jose to the Osa Peninsula.
Domincal has one of the most consistent waves in Costa Rica and is thus a great spot for surfing. Swimming, however, can be dangerous due to the strong riptides that are found throughout the 2.5 mile (4 km) strip of beach.
Activities around Dominical include treks to nearby waterfalls including the Nauyaca Waterfalls (7.5 mi from Dominical on Hwy 243), canopy tours, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, sea kayaking, scuba diving and snorkeling.
Osa Tropical can easily help you to set up a stay or activity in Dominical. Just ask us 🙂 !
