Puerto Jiménez is the largest town on the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica with a population of around 2000 inhabitants. Puerto Jimenez is located on the Gulfo Dulce and is the closest LAND ENTRY point for Corcovado National Park.
Puerto Jimenez has a lot to offer – there are many restaurants, bars, hotels, hostels, and a beautiful stretch of beach where it’s very safe to swim and launch. The beach is ideal for swimming with children since there are next to no waves breaking due to the town’s location in a small bay and in protected from swells by the Gulfo Dulce.
From Puerto Jimenez visitors can start many activities … such as sailing across the Gulfo Dulce, sport fishing, kayaking, and much more. The town is surrounded by a beautiful Mangrove Forest system which is unique in it’s ecosystem.
The inhabitants of Puerto Jimenez are very laid back and happy.
Our Osa Tropical office is located right in the center of town, next to the biggest supermarket BM. Before heading out to your vacation rental, you’ll most likely stop here to buy your produce. Next to the supermarket there is a gas station -which is the only place to fill up gasoline too on the entire Osa Peninsula.
We’re looking forward to welcoming you here!
